(George Lin, KFYI News) It took nearly a year for Judicial Watch's public records request to come through.
The organization had demanded email exchanges between IRS Director Lois Lerner, Department of Justice, and others be handed over.
Judicial Watch's Mark Spencer says those documents indicate that Lerner agreed to "trump up" tax fraud charges against Tea Party groups.
He points out the Department of Justice's probe into Lerner is ridiculous, since the agency was involved in requesting criminal investigations of organizations that she targeted.
Spencer says he is convinced this latest development in the IRS scandal goes above Lerner, starting with Attorney General Eric Holder and the president.
